Biography
42) I grew up in Farmington on the Bloomfield highway. I have not lived here until recently since 1965 when I graduated from Farmington High. I then went to NAU at Flagstaff and from there to the US Navy. My first duty station was Taipei, Taiwan. My next one was a human relations project near San Diego Navy Headquarters on the wharf. I worked for a non-profit organization after the Navy and then entered an intense PhD program in Clinical Psychology at CSPP-SD, now a part of US International University/Alliant International University, San Diego. From there, my nurse wife and I moved to Spokane, WA. 5 years later, she decided she’d rather be married to a pilot co-worker at her hospital. In 1987, I went to Mainland China. Ten days after Tienanmen in 1989, I went back to Taipei where I remained without returning to the US in 15 years until Aug 2002—to help my step-dad with my mother who had Alzheimer’s until her death a year ago.
43) I’ve always been known as something of a bird of rare plumage. Most people who give me a serious chance tend to enjoy me or at least find me a bit interesting. However, I don’t seem to be 100% successful at being all things to all people. I enjoy getting to know individuals. If my routine intensity gets to be a bit much, please just ask me to back off a bit. No problem. If you want more of a given topic or manner of instruction, please let me know. I’m not wishy/washy nor disorganized but am quite flexible. And, I prefer spontaneity to rigidly planned anything.
