Thank you for visiting the website of the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) at San Juan College.

At San Juan College, we are committed to your success. The CSE services are united in the effort to provide you with learning resources and support systems to help you achieve your goals. Within the Center, you will find the following departments:

  • The Office of Retention coordinates New Student Orientation and helps students develop success plans at SJC
  • The Adult Basic Education Office provides free classes for students pursuing GEDs, as well as ESL courses for students who want to improve their English skills
  • The ENLACE Program serves a community outreach mission, offering family center services and college preparation services to Latino participants in the Northwest Region of New Mexico
  • The LRNS Department offers college courses in developmental math, learning support and college success
  • The Tutoring Center offers free walk-in tutoring for math, writing, science, accounting and other disciplines.
  • The Title III Launch Program offers academic support services for dual credit students and student enrolled in math/science intensive courses. This program is designed around the strengths and values of Native American students, but participation is open to all students.
  • The Office of Online Student Support helps students succeed in online courses by providing support and resources based on the student’s location and need.
  • The International Programs Committee sponsors academic trips and other educational opportunities that introduce students to global perspectives.
